Order a Puzzle

Do you have a favorite print that you'd like made into a puzzle? Or maybe you want a puzzle to commemorate a special occasion. If you'd like to order a custom puzzle, I'll work with you to design exactly what you want.

My order process is very simple. Send an email describing what you have in mind to blaire@pelicanpuzzles.com. I'll respond to your inquiry promptly, and work with you on the details.

Acquiring a Print

You may already possess the print or photo you want to use for your puzzle. If you do, I'll ask you to send it to me. If you don't, there are several excellent online art stores where you can get one. See my Links page for suggestions.

In any case, let me know the source, title, and size of the print you have in mind, so we can be sure that it will work well for the puzzle you want.

Estimating the Price

My puzzles are priced at $2.50 per square inch. Measure the image without the border to determine the number of square inches in the finished puzzle. I find it easiest to estimate by square inch because the number of pieces can vary somewhat depending on a variety of factors; the size of the image never does. I cut my puzzles at about 3 pieces per square inch, so each piece ends up costing less than $1.00.

I generally include about 3 figural pieces per 100 puzzle pieces. Additional figurals can be added for $3.00 per figural.

Shipment is via USPS. The price of postage is in addition to the price of the puzzle, but I don't charge a separate handling fee. Insurance is optional, but recommended.

Payment Options

I accept money orders or checks made out in US Dollars on a US Bank. You may also use your credit card through PayPal over the internet. Make the payment to blaire@pelicanpuzzles.com. I will begin work on your puzzle once payment is received or once your check clears.

Return Policy

Because custom puzzles are so personal, all sales on these puzzles are final. That being said, I will make every effort to ensure, by careful planning, that you are delighted with your puzzle.
